N.Born Salon: A Masterpiece of Industrial Chic

The N.Born salon is a masterclass in industrial chic. The design incorporates low-quality wood, polished concrete, rusted iron, and exposed brick walls to create a vintage yet modern aesthetic. Each of the three floors, each approximately 720 square feet, serves a different purpose, adding to the complexity and intrigue of the space.

The first floor, inspired by the lively charm of a theater backstage makeup lounge, is a VIP sanctuary. A custom-made, oversized luminous mirror spans from ceiling to floor, creating a sense of privileged honor. This design choice reinforces the founder's intention of treating the floor as a VIP lounge. An old Vespa scooter parked at the entrance further enhances the vintage feel of the space.

The second and third floors cater to general hair cut and perm services. While these floors lack the bold statement elements of the first floor, they maintain the industrial style through customized wood and iron furniture. The focus here is on functionality and ease of movement, ensuring a harmonious and comfortable environment for clients.

One of the design's standout features is an old worn gigantic wheel transformed into a lighting fixture. This creative use of materials not only reinforces the vintage look but also adds a unique touch to the space. The design's unique properties and innovative use of materials are what set it apart and led to its Silver A' Design Award.
